window switches... lit or unlit?

Strange question, '92 100CS,
    I noticed last night that the power window switch on my passenger door
appeared to be dimly lit, however, the only lit switches on my driver's
door are the memory seat switches and the "safety" switch for the rear
windows and lighter. Should the window switches on my driver door also be
lit? They're not now, but it seems a bit strange given that the passenger
switch IS lit.
