epilogue to 85 4ksq timing belt/water pump noise

Just recieved my car back from the shop concerning the noise in the front after 
the timing belt and water pump were change.

The engine is humming again without the noise!...Turns out the timing belt 
was on too tight as some of you suspected. I asked wether he used a gauge 
to check for the correct tension; his responds, when you could turn the 
belt 90 degrees, kind of a "touchy feely" thing. 

I didn't take that elective class during my 4 years at Sac State in the 
engineering dept.
