Are we talking of the sensor with two male connectors sticking out of
the top and directly positioned at the rear, passenger-side corner of
the head(next to the battery)? Also, is it almost on the same
plane(level) as the valve-cover gasket? If we are talking of the same
sender/sensor, I am glad to know because a while back when cleaning my
mass air-flow meter I inadvertantly almost snapped one of the metal
prongs off. The thought of it snapping off completely(only a few bends
away) and having easy access to it right now makes me want to replace
it.
1)Roughly how much does one for a '86 C-GT cost?
2)Do I simply R/R like a monkey(unplug/unscrew/screw/plug)?
3)What is the result of a broken prong on that H2O temp sensor, just an
inoperative water temperature gauge or worse?
Thanks, Allan.
