3) Are hotels/motels in the area sold out? If yes, how long before
race-day does a reservation need to be made for a hotel? ...a motel?
4)Do the bars stay open?! (joke) :-) ;-) :-| :-)
5) While I'm asking, how many more days ARE there?!?
To go or not to go....you and your answers will help decide, my friend!
Thank you!

1. Race day tics would be iffy at best, although there are always
"alternative sources" just outside the Metro exit. There is no parking on the
island, take the Metro (subway, clean and safe) As for view, any seats bought
through regular channels will be shit. Scalpers will have better seats.
2. Park downtown, near the Berri station. Our longtime seats are $275CDN.
LARGE increase when Jacques joined the circus. I think you can get a Friday
general admission for about $30.
3. Quite. I made our reservations in November, and had to hustle. Since we
generaly imbide heavily on THAT weekend, we get a hotel near the Berri
station. If one could remain sober, and wanted to fight traffic, you might
find accomodations further out. Eats time, though.
4. 3:00 a.m.
Since 1979, I've learned this: Get tics early. Get accomodation early, and
downtown. You can walk or take the metro anywhere you need to go. Three day
tics are the way to go i.e. I think our seats for one day are $200. Don't
waste money on the 'Gold' seats at the start/finish, sit at the hairpin. (
Sh*t, now I've done it!) Bring your own beer, and lots of it. It always rains
sometime during the weekend. Bring sunscreen, too! They usually give out
earplugs for free.
Tics are @ 1-800-392-0000
