May be inappropriate for the list, true and I apologize, but if we
didn't bash 'em, they wouldn't be improving. And I do admit they are
improving, but I stand by my statement as true. I doubt a Corsica would
turn sales of American cars around in Europe. If you feel that the
Corsica can pull America's car image up from the depths, then maybe we
should ask the European listers if they think so.
There was a 'quote of the month' last month in one of the American car
mags(R&T, C&D, etc.) that came from a European mag editor(they were
reviewing trucks or SUVs), and it went something like this: "I don't
know why those " ____place some English word for 'idiots' here...I
forget what it was('blokes' maybe?)____" over there think that it is
fun and practical to buy a truck for their only vehicle and then drive
it to work and the grocery store every day while it sucks down buckets
of petrol and offers no special form of driving entertainment!" Way to
go, guy! That's the attitude I have, that's the attitude my girl
has...we can't wait to get over there again! God we love Europe!
General and broad based statements are everywhere, as is bashing, so
why not here? Input(private email just to see if I'm that far off) from
my fellow listers on my "broad based statement" is welcome. Was my
bashing really inappropriate and/or untrue? I will KEEP YOUR messages in
MY mailbox. This is no big deal to me - and I hope I recieve nothing,
but feel free to reply if "you think."
That's MHO. Allan
