A couple of questions

I have a couple of questions. First one is about a trip computer. I have a
trip computer on my 1986 5kcst and it displays bar boost, mpg, avg speed and
all that other stuff. One thing I can't understand is a section which has a
"G" on it. I cannot figure out what this measures. When I first start the
car, it displays 1 G so I'm guessing it's not lateral acceleration. Does
anyone have any idea? The second question is about a CD changer. In the not
so near future, I will probably install a 10-CD changer to supplement my
standard-issue Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette stereo. Which CD-changers would you
recommend? Are the ones that broadcast through your FM radio any good? One
such changer is the Sony EXCD-3RF. It comes with an RF package and costs
314$. I do not want to spend over $400. Would I be better off replacing my
Blaupunkt with an in-dash CD player/radio? Please help. Thanks in advance.
