I'm curious as to where you got this premise, and why you would think an
Audi quattro would get better mileage? Did you read it somewhere? If so,
I'd be interested in seeing the article. It seems to me that the extra
weight and friction of the awd drivetrain would explain it's lower mpg, but
I'm no nuclear physicist. ;)
