Godzilla comes to New York!
More news (which I forgot to tag unto the first one)...
Audi prepares A6 Avant for up-coming Frankfurt motor show in the fall.
Audi promises it will be a big step forward for a, uh, Avant.
SUV unsafe -- or so says U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Only
three got "acceptable" -- Ford Explorer, Land Rover Discovery, and Toyota
4-Runner.
MB has finally introduced A-class. BMW is shooting for the target via the
rumored up-coming brand-new Mini. Is Audi just sitting there doing
nothing? "No way, Jose." Audi is working on aliminum something planned for
introduction in 1999. These are bunch of cars which meet 3.0liter/100km
(or 91mpg for metric-challenged people).
Quote from Car's Newsdesk:
Festival of Barking Old War Horses
Appearing at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed (June 20 to 22) is the
insane pre-war 6.0 litre 520bhp V16 Auto Union grand prix car. This, the
only example known to have survived intact, will be piloted by
Hans-Joachim Stuck, son of Hans Stuck, one of the last men to fling on eof
these around for real. Audi is also brining a 760bhp IMSA 90 quattro and a
rally Audi quattro to the event, both to be driven by Michele Mouton. It's
the first time an Auto Union has been seen in the United Kingdom since
Bernd Rosenmeyer won the 1937 Donnington Grand Prix.
