89' 80q clutch question
Last week my clutch pedal started sticking about an inch or two
in without popping back out on its own. The car changes gears and pulls
perfectly, and all fluid levels are where they should be (no leaks).
Could this be old grease on the pin that goes to the clutch slave
cylinder? I dropped the panel under the dash to take a look, and even
sprayed some silicone on the part I could see. After driving for a few
miles the problem went away only to return several minutes later. If the
pin is the problem, does anyone know of the best way to go about
removing, cleaning and re-lubing it? If that's not the problem, what else
could it be? I forgot to mention the car has 122k miles it, and the
clutch has never been tampered w/.
Thanks!
Dave
