5kt flywheel, bentley, and others
Just to let the Gentleman from germany know that he could use the vaccum pump
off the 4kq to achieve his brake boost. The boss is there for the pump, it
just has to be drilled out and the pump can be installed. Also the diff
switch should still work since you more than likely will be operating at no
boost times anyway. Even still a canister can be used to store vacuum with
very little work. All that would be needed is a canister and check valve.
Now for some questions of my own. What is the list's view of lightening a
flywheel? Is it worth anything? Will the 4kq flywheel work on the 5kt engine
or does the 5kt have some kind of magnet to make the hal sender work. So it
also begs the question does someone have a 5kt flywheel they want to get rid
of. If not does someone have a source for a good used one or even a lightened
one.
Next, does anyone have a Bentley they want to get rid of for an 86 5kt.
And lastly what is the gold bracket in the front of the 5kt's do. It is about
6 inches long and angled with 3 wires coming out of it.
