Where are they in the '86 C-GTs? Anyone know? BTW, my box has been
modified for years now. My x-mechanic and I removed the temp exchange
flap(or whatever that thing is that regulates the temp between cool
fresh air and hot, exhaust manifold-affected air) and the other stuff on
the box. I did not swiss-cheese it, but wanted to at the time. What is
the best way to design/modify a proper scoop/intake for my current
situation? Is it to mount a tube directly to the area behind the bumper
cover as mentioned below and then block off any remaining holes in the
airbox, or is there another way, like leaving it as is?

Then why, may I ask, is there a temp flap that is set-up to allow air
heated by the EM into the box? Is there a certain temp that is best for
the I-5? Or IOW, can the temp be too cool? Thanks.
