I 80

I am going to leave the 87 Coupe GT (103k) in the garage in Ft. Worth next
week (mandatory Audi content) and haul a 3500 lb sailboat to Lake Tahoe for
a regatta. I would like to take Interstate 80 from north of Denver to Reno,
NV. My option is to take I40 to Kingman then go north to Fallon, NV but I've
been that way a number of times.

I am wondering what I80 is like. Will I be dragging up steep mountain passes
for two days with an old Suburban or is it fairly flat? I would appreciate
any info on this route.
