Don't know Yakima rack but can certainly vouch for Thule.

Previous rack did at least 7 ski seasons & still in great order.
Current rack for A4 superb. Fits well and very secure/strong. I would obey
the car recommendations re weight. If you are getting a roof box don't get
one too big. Excellent quality too.

Also I recommend you fit patches of the 3M clear plastic tape to the roof
under the pads - protects the paint very effectively.
