Timing Belt Replacement and Other Questions

I'm replacing the timing belt and idler pulley on my 1990 200 TQ. I see
that the Bentley refers to "o" marks on the flywheel and on the cam gear
for alignment. I don't have "o" marks on either the flywheel or the cam
gear. I have a "-" on each. They lined up correctly before I removed
the old belt and I've realigned them with the new belt so all should be
fine. Has anyone seen this? I assume that the 1989 must have had "o"s
for the marks and that they changed to "-"s in 1990. Just thought I
would ask before putting it all back together.

Whats the opinion on changing the water pump? I have a new pump, but
the old one feels fine with no leakage. Don't want to pull off the cam
gear and back plate unless I have to. There are 70k miles on the
engine.

Also, I just changed the rear transverse links and strut inserts. I put
in Boge Originals (non-gas). Made a big difference in handling. One of
the transverse links was so loose that it allowed some movement of the
wheel. Now I'm thinking about working on the front end. What are the
best inserts to use, Boge's? Also, how much wear would I expect in the
inner and outter control arm bushings. The outters look relatively easy
to change, while the inners will take a little more work.

Any collective wisdom from the group will be appreciated.
