RE: tires for 4kcsq

I have the P700Zs in 225-50-15 on the 85 ur-q. They fit fine
and work GREAT! (except near sno :)

Not the size - I have 215/50VR15s on the ur-quattro. They seem to have been
the standard tyre on the 8" rims in the UK.

I find them just right in anything but snow. I put my first new set on in
July 1994, a year after I bought the car. I swapped them 31,000 miles later
at 1.6mm tread depth because of an increased tendency to aquaplane - they were
all still legal and one of them is now one of my spares. The P700Z is an
excellent compromise between grip, wear and ride comfort - though there are
probably better tyres in each category.

Over here, most of the 80-type cars (80, 80 quattro, Coupe GT) seem to run on
Goodyear NCTs.
