Tim at The Parts Department (01273 326189) will get you the German microfiche.
The whole ur-quattro set (which includes the 20V) costs around GBP150. Then
there's the minor matter of a reader for Audi's huge 7" x 9 1/2" 42x fiche.
I'm told BMW use the same size for motorcycles ...

Otherwise, you might be able to get [whoever it is in Paul Beaurain's area] to
copy the Preliminary Service Manual they found in a skip outside a VAG
dealership one day. It covers the 1980 and 1981 model years, but only the
cable-operated diff locks. I think it also covers only the left-hand drive
versions, so it doesn't cover the nightmare clutch master cylinder swap.

I assume (from the domain id) that you might be in Hemel Hempstead?
