A4Q transmission chip upgrades?

Are there any ways to get a transmission chip upgrade for the A4?  I love mine
to death, but it's shifting is not to my liking.

I'm new to the list, and am leasing an A4 Quattro 1996, which I absolutely adore
-- it's the metallic blue.
