Air flow sensor plate height/setting
With all this talk about the fuel dist., I was looking thru the Haynes
and was reminded that the plate must be no more than .5mm?(some small
amount that has slipped my mind) below the base of the cone. I believe
my plate is much deeper in the hole than that, but I have to check. If
need be, do I just bend the clip up as stated in the Haynes till it sits
at a proper height?
Also, if my plate was sitting very low in the cylindrical(not cone
shaped/below cone where walls are straight) area, would that cause a
rich mixture(as determined by plugs fouled with dry black soot) or would
a dirty air filter be more of a culprit? Or a combination...?
Thank you!
