Wow, there *are* lots of errors in that article! First, yes, the
A4 here is getting 190hp.  Audi originally announced it at 193,
but after emmissions workings for the US, it ended up at 190.
I drove one the other day, non-Q manual. Nice, but while the
engine did have some more guts in the 2-3k range, I have to agree
with the poster who talked about the sound quality. The 12V has
a much more pleasant sound...

The A6 engine doesn't just get a more free-flowing exhaust, it
also gets different cams.

The article claims that the Avant will be here this month, which
is clearly way off.  Last I heard, expect the tiptronics at the
end of October and the 5-sp manual a few months after.

The sport package on the A4 is stiff! Though I didn't get to
drive it, as they had their sport-package A4 in for prep, I
did get to push down on the bumper. Hard. With absolutely no
movement on the A4's part.  But I still like the standard
5-spoke wheels best...
