4kq "hot" oil temp

Haudi,

I've seen the digi-guage ('87 4kq, no mods) up to the first bar above
the line between 130 and 170 dC. ie:

170-

    <=== up to here
   -


130-

If the LED's not red, is it safe to assume it's OK? Has anyone seen
temps like this, or higher, while driving (like 85 MPH in 80 dF temps,
no AC--YET)?

I'm just curious if it's OK. I mean, 170 dC is 338 dF, which is pretty
hot, even for Amsoil.
