RE: A4 Avant 1.8t

Somebody (forget who - it was somebody on the list, but the name is at
work, I think) told me just the other day that 4 weeks ago, AoA decided
to import 5-speed Avants to the US. And the Avant will come with both
the 1.8T and 2.8 30v engines. Now, as for quattro - I don't know.

My current dream car is a 1.8Tq Avant...

A4 Avant 1.8T certainly is being *made* -- my brother had one until a
few months ago.  On the other hand, it may not be available in
Australia, and North America will be gettign the Avant only with the 30V
2.8L.
