Sport package on A4

Sunset in Beaverton hasn't gotten any sport-equipped cars in yet, although
they do have lots of 30V cars, which look identical to the 12V cars. The
two managers I spoke to (in person) today haven't driven them yet.

What I don't understand is the obsession this group has for "which is better"?

I logged about 400 miles today. If the rumours about the 30V being buzzier
are true, I'm happier to have the 12V on days like this. This is one reason
I didn't even consider waiting for the turbo back when I ordered my car.
I'd certainly rather have the current suspension over a sportier, firmer
one, on massive-mileage days.

On other days, for other driving, I may feel different. Personally, I
probably would seldom want the turbo 4, because I'd rather have the power
with extra weight, but the 30V would be alluring on days with lots of city
driving. The firmer suspension would entice me when doing mountain driving
(which I actually do a lot of, since I live on one), or when zooming around
offramps.

Any car is a set of compromises. No one Audi A4 set-up is likely to be
superior to another. My first two thoughts about the sports suspension
were: Gee, it would be nice to corner faster; I wonder if the lower
clearance would have gotten stuck in the snow this past year. (And then,
100 miles into my trip today, "More shocking would not be good. I'm glad I
don't have a BMW." (And yet, if I still lived in So.Cal., I'd probably
happily be in one now.)

What do I want? TWO Audi A4Qs. Harrumph!

Short of that, I'll accept keeping mine, and seeing less debate about
whether it is stupid to want the 30V and the sports suspension.
