I too have observed that the oil consumption is higher during continuous
hi-speed crusing (80-90MPH) on my car.  I have no idea why.  Maybe it's
just evaporating and being burnt toghether with the gas??  Maybe Mobil 1
has a greater afinity to metal and stays adhered to the cylinder walls,
and then it gets burned??
