clear coat questions

Greetings fellow listers:

Please excuse my ignorance. This is my first post, and I hope my
question is not to simple or a FAQ.

First - A great road to try. For all you Northeast Audi drivers, try this road if you're ever on the NYS Northway.

Get off at exit 24 (Bolton Landing) and turn right (east). 6 miles to a T turn left. This is Rt 9N, and the 17 mile stretch you are about to embark on is a beautiful road, with nothing but forest and banked 70mph sweepers as it winds its way over the Tongue Mountain Range. (There's a reason they hold Americade here) Try it in late summer or early fall, as the frost heaves are generally fixed by then.
Lake George, the Queen of America's lakes, is to your right, and you can occasionally catch a glimpse of it as you hit the apexes of banked turn after banked turn. Once you reach the town of Hague, turn Left onto NY Rt 8, which climbs Graphite mountain and descends to Brant Lake, where the last 10 miles of your sortie will be spent burning thru S turns that follow the lake shore. A few short miles further you will run into the Northway again, where you can continue to your original destination. The whole detour adds about an hour to your trip. Enjoy.

Now, my question. What, if any, is the best way to get scratches out of the clear
coat paint on my wife's A4Q. (Silver) A friendly neighborhood dog is the culpret.

Any advice appreciated. TIA
