I'm curious about a couple of features of the Audi I5 20V turbo engine as it
appears in the S4/S6. It has a feature which circulates coolant to the turbo
after shut down. I have heard gurgling noises coming from the head area when
I lift the hood after shut down but have never heard what sounds like a pump
running to circulate the coolant. How is it circulated, by electric pump?
Second, I have never heard the secondary fan come on, even when in stop & go
traffic. In other vehicles I've owned you could hear the fan come on. Should
I be able to hear it in the Audi and will it come on after the car is shut
off or only while running?
