Karl,
I have the Goodyear RSA's on our 96 A42.8q. Our Audi salesman said that 
on the initial intro in Arizona (I believ) to dealers, the concensus 
opinion of the drivers was that the Conti's were inferior to the 
Goodyears. Having gone through a Chicago winter (snow) and a very soggy 
spring drive in thunderstorms and heavy rain to Michigan, I found the 
Goodyears to be a fairly respectable all-around tire. Now if I can 
persuade the wife to stiffen up the car a little and get new 17" rims 
and low profile Bridgestone Potenza SO2's............
