Sorry to bust your bubble mate!
To work correctly the Val1 needs a clear lookback through the rear 
window for total effectiveness.  Dan Masi, like myself, has his Val1 under 
the rv mirror looking for'ard, aft and abeam. I think there are a couple 
of detectors that you can install in the grille and such that would 
probably be better in Virginia (damn, thats positively un-American not 
to be able to have an RD!)
