re: draining oil
An alternative, as practiced my my (no longer) mechanic, was to cut an
access hole under the filter so that he didn't have to remove and replace
the fairing under the engine of my old '88 90Q. I didn't like it when I
discovered it, but there seemed to be no problems from his having done it.
