Tires damaged

Hi,
Further to my tire balancing problem, I have finally replaced my eagle
aquatred with 4 dunlop D60 A2.  So far so good.  Seems a little louder
than my worn aquatreds.  The "shakes" are gone.  

Question :  When the shop took the old tires out, they found that 3 of
the tires have major tire damage around the bead (1/2" from bead edge). 
I wonder is that a tire manufacturing probem, tire design problem,
installation/ mounting error, or the way I push the tires through
corners.  (I do push the tires on corners especially on rainy days.)

If it is my driving habbit, it will apply to any tire that I put on !!

Any comment ?
