Fool Pumpth
Just for grins - Audi isn't the only one putting fuel pumps in the
gas tank. My dad's '96 Fooorrd PU has twin tanks - and a big note in
the owner's manual warning that the gas in the tank provides cooling
for the pump, so the tanks should NOT be run dry or the pump's
service life will be compromised.
(Of course, we all know how likely owners are to read the manual and
see this warning.....)
Isn't that interesting?? Design a truck so you can't use all the gas
in the tank or you damage the fuel pump.
One of the least impressive "better ideas" I've seen recently.
