My CQ has consumed close to this amount since I got the car with 38k on
the clock (has consumed less Mobil 1 since I switched @ 71k).  Dealer
told me this is in the "normal" range, whatever that
means.  The engine has never leaked oil (at least to my knowledge), so
it must getting burned off.  I've never noticed any smoke from the
exhaust and haven't had a problem with the cat, so hopefully no harm
done.  I still wish it didn't happen though.  HTH.
