Re: 90q20v brakes & belts

Just BTDT with Angela's 90Q20V.
Nothing in there is easy to work on. Doing the timing belt (needed
at 60K - it is an interference engine) was a major PITA. I let my
shop do it. Ditto for the regular belts. $400 was about the right
figure for the work.
We just did her front brakes yesterday. The expensive ones are on
*most* 90Q20V's - apparently the ones with 14" wheels and no sport
suspension. The 15" wheels and sport suspension used rotors the same
as (?) the 100Q, which makes them cheaper. I got mine from Imparts.
Rotors and Repco Organic pads for about $200 total, plus some labor
to have my shop install them. The shop originally said about $550 if
all the parts had to be ordered from the dealer.
