A4 Purchase in Texas

I have been kicking tires here in Austin, Texas for a new 98 A4. The local
dealer unfortunatly is very weak in selection and informs me that if I
ordered a car to spec, I couldn't get it until the earliest, August. For
the 98, he would not budge off sticker. (however, didn't show him the money
yet)

A4 2.8 5 speed
Black or silver with anthracite leather
Quatrro
Sport Package
Moon roof
Bose
All Weather (not essential)

I am wondering if the situation is a local one, southwest in scope and what
is the national market like.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
