Ian--you are right. My post was somewhat vague.
What I want [prefer?] is a rolling chassis. Preferably, the body
would be perfect, but engine / tranny stolen, along with interior :) That
will be hard to find obviously. I will consider anything, depending on
price. But, here is a short-list of parts that can be toast:
Engine, transmission, lights, grille, interior [except
dash], tires, wheels, doghouse, glass, etc.
Get the picture? Basically, I want a car that can be rebuilt with a 20vt,
6speed. Brakes will be upgraded, but sometimes suspension damage [hard
front undershot] that also involves body problems is more trouble than it
is worth. Open to about anything, thanks so much for your information!
