Steve(and list if interested),
Are you refering to a black plastic(rubber?) connector sitting without
a partner right behind the air-flow sensor plate and right in front of
the battery, with 2(I am doing this from memory so 2, 1, 3?? but I
believe 2) wires that led back to the group of wires near the
distributer? Did you have a single black-wired OXS connected to some
other connector or wire lead? I presently have this situation and I
already know that I need a new OXS sensor, thanks to 'M' for the
diagnosis from over 1K miles away with NO other hint than fouled spark
plugs(not that impressive, but still pretty good!), but now I need to
know whether I should buy a heated one or not.
Steve and List,
Can anyone give me the proper OXS sensor unit(preferably the
manufacturer-Bosch? and exact part number) that I should be using on my
Coupe-GT utilizing only a Jacob's Electronics Omni-Pak and a K&N air
filter, and with a Leistritz exhaust and a Midas(sshhh!) cat. I doubt
those mods matter to the part number, or type of OXS sensor, but I
presently don't 'know' that for sure. Is it heated/should it be? Is it a
2-wire or a 3-wire/should it be? Is it the connector type or do I need
to do some soldering as was recently mentioned?
Please and thank you! All these answers, suggestions, and parts I am
receiving from the glorious list are piling up very high in the virtual
'to-do' folder, but as I delete each one, I get closer to C-GT
perfection than I've/she's ever been! Thanks to the list for the
solutions and the motivation/competition!

They don't in MASS and I'm fairly sure we're quite tough, but it also
depends upon the inspection station used. I have an inspection coming up
and I know several things will fail at the fancy gas station in the
center of Burlington, so I plan on going to the decrepit money-hungry
garage I know of on an out-of-the-way lot and driving away with a
sticker! :-) The failing items are not dangerous to the public - trust
me - and I'm going to fix 'em soon...Hello List! IOW, soon you'll be
hearing from me with even more questions. List => :-(
