That is the very trick, plus a little Rocky Mountain spring water, that allowed
me to limp on from Eisenhower Tunnel to Uncle John's in Glenwood Springs.
I had witnessed the incident and repair you describe. I thanked the Audi gods
for the mercy of having a deep 15 mm socket in the trunk. Cheers,
