I mounts very very rigidly to the rear frame rails via two blind holes
drilled in each towards the front and two holes each drilled through the
trunk near the back. It is not ugly, as it is a receiver hitch that sits
under the car. Nothing to bang your shins on. No holes are cut into the
bumper. It is the only receiver hitch I know of made specifically for the
5k/200 cars.
It was about $250 new. I'm selling it for what I paid for it a couple of
months ago (bought used from another q-lister). I totalled the wagon it was
on, and the new one I bought had one on it! The hitch is very very strong.
We pulled the wagon out of a ditch with a cable hooked to it... on damage to
the car of the hitch!
I won't take $100 for it; it's really worth the $150 I'm asking. If you
want a cheaper (but ugly) hitch, I have one for sale for $50. It's a home
made job that doesn't have any REAL towing capacity.
