Btw, after he'd looked over the car, this cop let slip that if they had seen 
me late at night (after the pubs close) my driving would have got me pulled 
over.  He reckond that precise driving at just below the speed limit often 
indicates a driver whos had too much to drink - and knows it.
This may be common knowledge - if it is sorry for the noise -but it was the 
first time I'd heard of it.
