Thanks to all for the excellent discussion and calculations.
It seems to me that based on what Scott is saying about
supersonic turbos, that wheel radius and RPM's are the
determiners of when a wheel goes supersonic, and that defines 
the upper limit, which must be related to PR and flow, yes?

This is obviously the reason for larger cold side wheels / scrolls.
But f this applies to the hot side as well, is it not possible to
go TOO SMALL on the hot side. The larger cold side help hold the 
shaft speed down, but would not the turbo tend to "stall" on the 
hot side easier?
