     Just a thought before you start drilling the subframe, I've heard of 
     problems with shocks (Bilsteins in particular) not tightening down 
     properly when the strut tower cap is torqued. The Bilsteins, and the 
     cap they supply, sometimes don't tighten the shock cartridge down to 
     the bottom of the strut tower. The small amount of play results in a 
     clunk from the offending corner. The solution is to add a couple of 
     shims to the bottom of the srtut tower before installing the shock.
