I've used water wetter and it DOES work.  '86 turbo showed a marked 
reduction in temp, keeping that annoying 500 watt fan off more than on.  
Also in wife's 740 Volvo wagon and my '89 200q with similar success.  No 
oily brown balls, but does cause some brown scum to float around in the 
expansion tank.  Anyone tried an oil additive called Militec-1?  I've put 
in in my engine, hydraulic system, trannies and diffs.  Noticed and 
improvement in fuel economy on a recent 12 hour drive from Maryland to 
Hilton Head, S.C.  Has good write-ups from industrial firms and from US 
Military (which uses it on all firearms)
