Now what did you say that the language you speak is called?

Having spent my first decade growing up in Wales, I must say that the
English idiom is much more quaint, colourful, and expressive than the
American.  It's been almost three decades, the pretty accent is gone, but I
still wonder if people understand me when I talk... 

England and America are two countries separated by a common tongue - was it
Churchill who said that?  Having had to learn "American" as a second
language (took fifteen years), I would beg to submit that while Americans
are still stuck with most of the "Imperial" measurement system they created
their own language long ago...
