I live about 14 miles from NHIS, and I regularly put the
BFG R1s on the night before track day. Also, at the end of
a tiring day, most of the time I ridem home too.

I think that the strightline, very little turning forces
encountered in street driving do not use up the race tires
at anywhere near the rate of track driving.

But remember, on a good set of street tires you can get
25,000-40,000 miles, on a good set of R1s 600-900 miles.
