I'll offer another helpful hint: Prepare for the worst! I've done this job
several times and it's usually a no-brainer (i.e., less than one hour,
start-to-finish). However, the last time, several of the inserts were
broken in the process of removing them and pieces fell into the intake
manifold and/or cylinders ... the tip off one of the injectors fell off as
well. I pulled the intake manifold but couldn't find the pieces and my luck
being what it was, I figured I'd better pull the head as well to play it
safe ... from there, it wasn't too far to deciding a valve job was in order,
etc. Thanks to other distractions, it was two months before I finally got
everything back together... :^(
