Question

Hi everyone,

I've been having this problem with my '94 100 CSQ 5-speed since I bought
it six 7 months ago but the dealer seems anxious to simply ignore it. I
was hoping someone out there may have experienced the same problem and
could give me a hint as to the solution.

The engine runs "as smoothly as silk" in all gears but 2nd. In 2nd
gear, I feel a certain "choppiness" as if I'm repeatedly removing my
foot from the gas (although not quiet as severe as if I actually did
that). The one time the dealer thought they knew the source of the
problem, they replaced the oxygen sensor -- it didn't seem to help. Any
ideas? I hope I've described the problem sufficiently well.

Thanks a lot!
  Mark.
