It is usually necessary to leave the set on and undisturbed for a lot 
longer than an hour.We leave them on overnight.Usually works.

Otherwise take the radio to a shop with the necessary adapter and software 
to erase the chip the memory for the code is stored in.I am told the 
circuitry and software are also available on the `net,for the 
adventurous,but have no personal experience of this.
