The UK comedy culture owes a great debt to Skoda.

Q: Why do Skodas have heated rear windscreens?

A: So your hands don't freeze when you're pushing them.

Q: What do you call a Skoda with twin exhausts:

    A: A wheelbarrow.

Of late they've been a lot better, and are now a fairly well respected brand
at the bottom (basic) end of the market. The Skoda team (NOT using a road-
derived car) have been doing quite well on the European rally scene. They
would only do well in the USA by acquiring "cult" status. Volkswagen's
acquisition of them (originally a state-owned company) has yet to bear major
fruit - it's a long-term project.
