Re: '94 Vigor GS = $19,000
The '93 Vigor GS I almost bought was white with black leather. Nice
conbination. Car had 40k on it, and dealer wanted $14900. Dealer was a Ford
dealer, so the price was negotiable. Used car manager sent the car to auction
before I had a chance to get a serious look at it. I bought my Audi last
September. Had about 48k on it when I bought it. Sold my '89 Maxima SE with
140k+ on it for $5000 myself. Found the Audi at a dealership that specializes
in pre-owned foreign cars (BMW's, Benz's, Acura's, Audi's, etc). A friend of
mine works at the dealer, so this kind of gave me an advantage in dealing
with the people there. Sticker said $14500. Paid $11000. Felt pretty good
about getting $3500 taken off what they wanted. In the Pittsburgh area where
I live, I got a very good deal for the mileage (one owner). All work on the
car was done under warranty at an Audi dealer by the previous owner. So you
would think I was getting a good car (low miles and all work done by Audi
dealer) . Unfortunately, this was not the case, as you know from my many
complaints on the list. By the way, I do not have the car back yet in getting
my power windows fixed yet. The relay that needed replaced is going to take a
week to get here. Shop said the car will be ready by this friday. Am
currently driving a friend's '84 Dodge Aries. Driving this car really makes
me miss the Audi!
