To add to this thread, keep in mind that the little backlight bulb for the
headlight switch generates heat which is trapped inside too...feel any area
on your Audi that is backlight with those little bulbs and the temps are
above ambient. I don't know how hot the headlight switch in question is
getting, but keep that in mind cuz it won't be at ambient even with the
headlights off. HTH
