Valentine/WSP (low Audi content)

Since the list has been discussing Valentine One detectors recently...

I was driving my Audi A4Q 2.8L (std tranny) up from Oregon to Seattle today.
The V1 went off suddenly in Cowlitz (?) county, claiming laser from behind.
We'd been watching and hadn't seen any revenuers, but immediately slowed
anyhow.  The alert only lasted two seconds, and we STILL couldn't find a
cop.  A minute later, one comes up behind me, lights blazing, and tickets me.

Lessons:

1) He says, and the V1 claimed, he was using laser.  WSP now has laser.

2) Despite C&Ds claims, laser attacks are done from the rear.  He claims he
was 1260 feet behind us, on an on-ramp.  (We were in the #1 (far left) lane,
and did not come off that onramp.)

3) They're accurate.  He got my speed at exactly what it had been at the
time.  Darn it.

4) The V1 rear laser detection does work, but this isn't going to do you one
whit (whatever a whit is) of good.  You're sunk if it goes off.  

Now I have to find a traffic lawyer in Cowlitz county, Washington.  Any
suggestions?
